Making pickles with my son Tony is one of my favorite memories. This started with telling Tony the story of the Eagles’ pickle juice game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept 3, 2000. The Eagles’ trainer introduced pickle juice to the players so they wouldn’t cramp up in 100+ degree heat for the first game of the season. The Eagles won this game.
Tony was intrigued by the idea that pickle juice could help win a football game. This led to making pickles in the kitchen with Tony and sharing with family and friends. Since Tony’s crossing over, we know he is in a wonderful place with his family. Tony is inspiring heavenly recipes from the other side with his grandfather, Frank.
Frank and Tony are the driving force for us to develop wonderful varieties and tricky names to accompany the pickles that we make. The ingredients that go into the pickles are of the highest quality and freshness. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, which is Tony’s
alma mater.
